Bible Study Fellowship is an international organization that was started in 1959 by Audrey Wetherell Johnson, a British woman who had served in China as a missionary. When the communist revolution of the 1950’s occurred, Ms. Johnson was forced to leave China and come to the United States on furlough. A group of women from the church she attended in California pleaded with her to lead a Bible Study. Although eager to return to the mission field, Ms. Johnson agreed. What she discovered was that the hunger and need for learning God’s Word was as desperate among Americans as it had been in China. That original Bible study branched out to other locations, new leaders were trained, men’s classes were added, then children’s and soon there were BSF groups in every state. Now there are BSF groups meeting in 35 nations, including China. PLEASE JOIN this outstanding Bible study group. The 2019-20 study = The Book of Acts.
We meet every Tuesday evening in the New Meeting Room from 6:30 until about 8:15 pm. The first class of the year is always the first Tuesday after Labor Day, and the last meeting is usually in mid-May, with summer break in between.
