Please call our church office for current times and offerings.

The Caring Place is located at the edge of the OSLC parking lot, at 9928 – 272nd Place NW, Stanwood, WA 98292.

The Caring Place ministry offers a variety of items including new and gently used clothing, accessories, diapers and toiletries to people in need, free of charge. Everything we offer is received by donation. Our youngest client is unborn and our eldest is 92 years – we serve all persons in need.

Through love, encouragement and prayer we are helping to develop higher self-esteem and purpose in the lies of so many of our clients. Some people have reached the point of hopelessness; questioning their self-worth, and just want to be heard. At the Caring Place we treat people with respect and dignity because they deserve it. Yes, we have “stuff” to give people, but more-so we hope to develop meaningful relationships.

The client base for The Caring Place includes the elderly, those who are substance abusers, some with mental health issues, those who are homeless, grandparents raising grandkids, foster children, and people that, plan and simply, need a hand up.

There are many ways to be involved – we are flexible. Volunteering Tuesday and/or Thursday 1-5:30 pm, even once a month, would be so helpful. If those days don’t work, we offer opportunities for you to work independently for other tasks, including stocking, sorting, and fundraising. Donations are a vital part of this ministry. Without the donations of like-minded people in our community, we could not operate The Caring Place, because everything we offer is free of charge. If you would like to make a tax deductible financial contribution, please make it to OSLC, memo line Caring Place.
